How to deliver a consistent drama based learning experience across three continents….
Our client had designated April ‘Informal Feedback’ month and were keen to time the workshops to coincide with their campaign in order to create momentum.
Some of our teams were already in place: in London, New York and Bangalore. The real challenge was Asia where we trained a brand new team, combining top talent from Singapore, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Beijing to cover offices through-out Asia (including Seoul and Taiwan).
Bi-Jingo Director Jenny Lynch, travelled out to train locally based teams in Bi-Jingo’s unique way of working. This meant we were able to ensure complete consistency of message –with the same content and methodology – as well as control quality.
Using an interactive, case study based approach meant that we could make subtle changes to reflect what was most relevant in different regions. For instance, in one area the firm had grown by 50% in the last twelve months which meant that helping experienced hires acclimatise was vital. Elsewhere, encouraging new managers to give feedback to former peers was more of a challenge.
Jenny Lynch comments: “Our Skills-pod design provides the perfect opportunity to flex slightly in order to ensure local relevance but also ensures that the core message and principles remain intact. Using locally based role-players ensured a good cultural fit and provided our client with a an economical way of rolling out the training more widely across the business”
